John Mayer- Assassin (Music Video)
Music Video for the song 'Assassin' from John Mayer's Battle Studies Album. Inspired by the live performances of the song from John Mayer's Current US tour, I've tried to Incorporate the onstage visuals and musical extensions of the song (found in the live shows) with the album version of the track. For me this is the most cinematic sounding track from the John Mayer collection and holds one of the more obvious and distinct themes. I had fun with it and this is my own visual interpretation of the song. The hardcore Mayer fans will probably notice a few of the subtle inclusions within the video. I hope you enjoy. Living in England i'm a little behind the majority of you guys with reading and responding to messages. The comments so far have been unbelievable. To have the first day of it being up on the net and recieve a comment from John Mayer himself was the best thing that could have happened. I would of never thought that would happen when making it. Assassin's Creed: Beautiful Lies
Song is "Beautiful Lies" by B-Complex Who's the better Assassin?! Not too much to say about this one. I really loved the song and the Assassin's Creed games, so I made this! I'm a huge fan of the AC trailers, especially the UNKLE "Lonely Soul" and "Burn my Shadow Away" ones and wanted to do something similar in how they're basically just music videos. Plus, every fan made "trailer" or tribute to the series I can find is always just boring mash-ups of Ubisoft's official trailers and I was sick of seeing those. It's tough making your own though, with no developer tools to control cameras or set anything up. I don't know how many times I had to manually align camera angles back and forth between the two games or have the tools I was using to slow the game down cause Altair or Ezio to just flip out and ragdoll into oblivion. Even so, I just played the game a whole lot and everything is shot, recorded, and edited myself. I hope you enjoy. I might actually put together a bloopers video later of all the crazy mess ups that happened while I was frapsing. Some of them had me loling hard or just outright disgusted. Update: I want to give a huge thanks to Ubisoft and Hospital Records for the recognition, the tweets, the spotlight on the AC facebook, etc. I'm humbled by all of it and very excited that the creators of both this excellent music and game have even seen, let alone liked my video. Assassin's Creed Hidden Blade (Dual Action)
My (Ah-Muhn-Rah) version of the Assassin's Creed Hidden Blade from AC2/BH I designed it in SolidWorks and made the parts with an Eden 350 printer. Materials: Clear: Full Cure 720 Black: Vero Black Full Cure 870 Based on a dual action Out The Front (OTF) Mechanism with a ring driven ratcheting pulley system to index the OTF Mech. (OTF Mech: www.youtube.com Blade locks in both the extended and retracted positions and can be extended and retracted regardless of arm orientation (no gravity/arm shake required). Still waiting for Ubiworkshop to make the Desmond hoodie (black version) and then I'll have a complete modern "Myles" assassin costume. Since I like ALL my fingers and have a dislike for overzealous cops, the non-prototype blade is not remotely sharp / pointy. The " blade " is clear plastic. The silver blade you see is the painted negative space missing from the back side of the clear plastic. The painted back creates the illusion of a real blade. As for posting files or schematics: Sorry... as you may have guessed, It took a bit of engineering work to minimize the OTF mech and get the pulley system working. So for now, I'm gunna keep the fine details of the design close to my chest.
