2012 Arkansas Derby - Bodemeister
Bodemeister, needing a victory in the Arkansas Derby (gr. I) to take the next step on the Triple Crown trail, produced an emphatic triumph in the $1 million race on closing day at Oaklawn Park April 14. Trainer Bob Baffert, winning his second grade I event in as many days at the Hot Springs, Ark. track, could breathe a little easier after Zayat Stables' lightly raced Bodemeister took a front-running path to romp by 9 1/2 lengths under jockey Mike Smith. Bodemeister, named for Baffert's youngest son, was making just his fourth lifetime start in the Arkansas Derby and needed the win in order to make the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) starting gate. The 2-1 favorite in the field of 11, Bodemeister had to overcome the far outside post and raced without blinkers for the first time. www.bloodhorse.com

3/4/2012 -- Steaming Plumes appear in Arkansas = DORMANT VOLCANOES BEING FRACKED !
READ BELOW !!!!! It took me a minute to find it -- but now you can see it for sure -- a Fracking (frac well drilling) operation JUST WEST of the Plume area --- so all together we have a giant natural gas frack operation -- a series of dormant volcanoes, town names like Sulphur Springs, Hot Springs, and Crater of Diamonds/Murfreesboro -- the plumes appear on VISIBLE SATELLITE from space.. only for a short time , at MULTIPLE SITES always near sunset... and gone by the AM (thus ruling out a large fire of some kind). To me, IMO, it has all the pieces there to put together.. a geologic steaming event of some kind ... the steam is coming from this dormant volcanic area BEING FRACKED (injected with water) !!!!! Great idea to INJECT WATER into an area permeated with old deep volcanic tubes connected to very old magma chambers........ I think it is highly possible that water injected from this nearby fracking operation could indeed cause a STEAM PLUME event to occur at the dormant volcano chain right next door ! Not a good development for the area. This increases the chances of a larger seismic event along the New Madrid Seismic Zone... and may indeed be the VERY CAUSE of our recent midwest earthquake uptick... now there is a DIRECT CONNECTION between fracking / dormant volcanoes / and plumes appearing . todays plumes seen in the 3/3 video: 35 14 21.13 N , 93 28 53.62 W location of the most current plume appearing on visible satellite = west of Sulphur Springs AR. 34°46'11.98"N ...

Jim Larkin, a potter from Hot Springs, has been named the 2012 Arkansas Living Treasure by the Arkansas Arts Council. Larkin will be honored at a reception from 5:30-7 pm, Tuesday, May 22, at the Hale Bathhouse on 341 Central Ave. in Hot Springs. The reception, sponsored by the Arkansas Arts Council and the Department of Arkansas Heritage, is free and open to the public. Now in its 11th year, the Arkansas Living Treasure recognizes an Arkansan who excels in the creation of a traditional craft and who actively preserves and advances his or her craft through community outreach and educating others. A distinguished panel of practicing craft artists and community leaders selects the recipient based on the quality of work, community outreach and total contribution to the field of traditional crafts. Born and raised in Lonoke, Larkin and his wife, Barbara, a potter and painter, have owned and operated Fox Pass Pottery on 379 Fox Pass in Hot Springs for almost 40 years. He has been making pottery since 1969.

Bobby Petrino fired as Arkansas Razorbacks football coach
nma.tv Arkansas has fired football coach Bobby Petrino for playing away from home. Petrino, who had revived Razorbacks football program over the past four years, was involved in a motorcycle accident with a female university employee with whom he was having an affair. Petrino wiped out on his Harley on April 1. The subsequent police report revealed that Petrino, who is 51, married and has four children, was riding with Jessica Dorrell, a former Arkansas volleyball player who is 21 and engaged. Petrino had told university officials and the media that he was driving alone and made vague reference to Dorrell as a "a lady" who helped flag down a passing motorist. In fact, Petrino had been in a long relationship with Dorrell, had once given her $20000 in cash, and had just hired her for a job. Dorrell was engaged to the athletic department's director of swimming and diving operations. Their wedding was less than two months away. Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long told reporters Petrino was fired for not being candid about his "personal and professional relationship." "Coach Petrino knowingly misled the athletics department and the university about the circumstances related to his accident," Long said during a press conference on Tuesday. Petrino boasted a 34-17 record in four seasons as the Razorbacks head coach. Last season the Razorbacks finished with a 11-2 record and ended the season with a Cotton Bowl victory and a top five ranking.

Thousands of blackbirds fall to their death in Arkansas town for second New Year's Eve in a row Ancient Mayan legend says that 2012 will bring the end of the world. A small Arkansas town might have shown the first example of that as approximately 5000 blackbirds dropped dead from the sky last night in the early hours of the new year. As if the incident was not strange enough, it is the second time in two years that the birds have fallen as the calendar year changes.

3/4/2012 -- Arkansas Plumes erupt again -- a few DORMANT VOLCANOES epicenters
The chances of this being a series of "wildfires" that erupt at the same rough time each day, that only go for a few hours ... that only seem to be coming from dormant volcanic areas , VISIBLE FROM SPACE, ALL ERUPTING AT THE SAME TIME over multiple days now... those chances are starting to slim down dramatically. Erupting from the ground.. from areas such as Hot Springs, Murfreesboro crater of Diamonds volcano, or Sulphur Springs (all in the Arkansas dormant volcanic chain along the edge of the North American Craton/plate). Maybe dormant volcanoes are prone to burning.. or heating up?? From past experience (pisgah crater) seems reports of almost anything surface .. skeptics of any form of volcanic venting have said OFFICIAL reports are "out of control wildfires" OR "control burns done yearly" OR "convection of ground level moisture producing a cloud plume from the ground" OR "farmers burning old crops" OR "trash burns of tires" ... ... lol @ all the official explanations being thrown around... Everyone proclaiming to know the answer.. yet Im seeing Steam/Clouds of some kind come off dormant volcanoes... and the only explanation being given is "fires". hmm While I HAVE already formed my opinion on what I think these may be (venting of steam due to pressure along the edge of the craton -- occurring only at dormant volcanic sites which already have the inner earth structure capable of producing such events)...... I don't expect everyone to believe me hands down without ...

Petrino Fired as Arkansas Head Football Coach All Over A Hot Woman
Bobby Petrino was fired as head football coach at the University of Arkansas, effective immediately, the school's athletic director told reporters Tuesday. Petrino had been placed on paid administrative leave last week after it was revealed he had not disclosed that a 25-year-old female member of his staff was on his motorcycle with him when it crashed on April 1. "Coach Petrino knowingly misled the athletics department and the university about the circumstances related to his accident," Jeff Long told reporters. Though the 51-year-old coach had "multiple opportunities" over four days after the accident to be forthcoming, "he chose not to." Long said Petrino had had a "consensual relationship" with Jessica Dorrell, the coach's passenger on the motorcycle when it crashed. He added that Petrino had given Dorrell $20000 and failed to disclose their relationship when recommending her for the job with the department, thereby giving her "an unfair and undisclosed advantage for a position on his football staff." Dorrell, Long said, was one of 159 applicants for the job. He called Petrino's behavior "reckless and unacceptable."

From 5NEWS.com (5newsonline.com) University of Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino was fired Tuesday evening after Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said he knowingly mislead the athletics department about his motorcycle accident. Assistant Head Coach/Linebacker Coach Taver Johnson will take over through the rest of spring practice. "We will maintain a program that all of Arkansas and Razorback fans across the nation will be proud of," Long said. With thousands watching online across the country, Long made the announcement to both local and national media during a news conference on the floor of Bud Walton arena. He says Petrino was "terminated with cause" and there was no buyout agreement. Petrino was informed of Long's decision in writing as part of the terms of his contract. Long says he interviewed those involved in the accident and claimed his review "raised several concerns" that made him look into the personal relationship he had with Jessica Dorrell. By itself, Long says Petrino's 'consensual' relationship with Dorrell was not against University policy. However, he says it gave her an "unfair and undisclosed advantage" for a position on Petrino's staff. According to Long, Dorrell was given a "gift" of $20000 cash by Petrino. 2012 Cotton Bowl (Arkansas vs. Kansas State)
Highlights of the 2012 Cotton Bowl between the #6 Razorbacks and #8 Wildcats. Arkansas would win 29-16 in the first meeting between the two programs since 1967. The win gave the Hogs an 11-2 record and #5 final ranking, both the 11 wins and Top 5 finish were the first since 1977. This was the 12th Cotton Bowl appearance for Arkansas, which is third most all-time. This was the Razorbacks first Cotton Bowl win since a 27-6 rout of Texas in the 2000 Cotton Bowl. Kansas State finished 10-3 and #15.

3/30/2012 -- Giant plume of something in Arkansas -- no analysis -- just video
here are the coordinates of the general plume epicenter.. SULPHUR MOUNTAIN... hmm... 36° 5'37.42"N , 93° 2'18.12"W Since when do "control burns" cause shockwaves or mini-storm fronts? .. borderline plume fallout ---to me, it looks like an ash pyroclastic flow from above.. whatever it is.. it plumes up and then billows out.. and then becomes top heavy and "falls out" into a "flow" .. much like an ash cloud during an eruption would do. no analysis -- you can form your own opinion on what this is... at this point.. im tired of being the whipping boy for delivering the video on the occurrence .. you decide for yourself.. you think this is a fire.. fine.. you think this is a thunderstorm.. fine.. you think this is military testing.. fine.. you think this is volcanic activity.. fine.. you think this is related to fracking.. fine.. you think this is just a foggy day..
