Classic Game Room reviews DISCS OF TRON arcade machine from Bally Midway released to the arcades in 1983. Based on the 1982 science fiction movie from Disney starring Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, Cindy Morgan, Dan Shor, and David Warner, Discs of Tron has gamers playing as Tron during the Frisbee death duel battle scene. The other Tron arcade game had light cycles, tanks and the computer battle but this one has death frisbees!! This CGR review of Discs of Tron, the arcade machine, features the rare sit down cabinet version of Discs of Tron, rarely seen in arcades anymore.
Arcade Hunters Episode 8 Weirs Beach P.1
Episode 8 of Arcade Hunters is finally here on Youtube! It's a huge three part episode of the arcades of the Weirs Beach Pier! As was said in the video, this footage was shot in the summer of 2008, but many of the games you'll see in all three videos are still there so if you plan on going up this summer you will see all of the games there. The first arcade we visit is simply called "Penny Arcade" The Penny Arcade has a nice selection of newer and classic games, redemption games and pinball. Some games to notice are the full motion Turbo Outrun and a couple of old style shooting gallery games. Sorry this took so long to get here. 2600 is a full time teacher and he suffered not one but two hard drive failures so it took us a while to get the new episodes out. Part two will be up very soon with a look at the next arcade "The Half Moon"
Classic machines amusement arcade closing
I love amusement arcades with famous old machines, and this one has a lot, including mechanical pinball & shooting games & early video games such as Asteroids, Donkey Kong & Boot Hill! To lose an arcade such as this is very sad, but at least in the auction, the games will live on in private hands, unlike all the stories I hear about games being smashed up.

Michael Jackson's Moon Walker is the name of several video games created by Sega in year 1989 that incorporate the personage of and were co-developed by Michael Jackson. The arcade version and home versions differ in terms of gameplay, but the story and concept remain constant. The story which is taken from the Moonwalker film, follows Michael, using various music and dance related abilities, on a quest to save kidnapped children from the hands of the evil "Mr. Big". The games incorporated synthesized versions of the musician's hits, such as "Beat It" and "Smooth Criminal". The games have now achieved cult status and are remembered for being a memorable point in Jackson's change to a different stage persona from Thriller, to Bad. Moonwalker was first developed into an arcade video game by Sega with the help of Michael Jackson which was released on the Sega System 18 hardware. The arcade has distinctively different gameplay from its console counterparts, focusing more on beat 'em up gameplay elements rather than platform. Time Killers 1992 (Arcade)
Released in 1992 by Strata and developed by Incredible Technologies for the arcades, Time Killers is a fighting game that attempted to cash in on the success of Mortal Kombat. One of my favorite aspects of this game and the only reason you'd ever play it is how damage is dealt with. Enough damage to a lib and it will be torn off. It is possible to have both arms torn off and if you manage to win, you will be awarded with an "Armless Victory". Time Killers also features what I believe is the first ever one hit death in a fighting game. This game is incredibly gory and violent which brings tons of replay value when playing against others. Time Killers was eventually ported over to the Sega Genesis by another company but failed due to poor graphics and and playability.

CGRundertow - RAMPART for Arcade Video Game Review
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Rampart, an arcade game from Atari Games and Midway. Released to arcades in 1990, Rampart was a notable release for a few reasons. The game was obviously a huge inspiration for the creation of a whole genre, but speaking to its own gameplay formula, Rampart has the firepower of a shoot 'em up game with lots of strategy and even puzzle-solving elements. It's a smart arcade game, which made it stand out among its fellow action-heavy cabinets. You start Rampart by choosing an area in which to wage war. Once you're there, you get to choose from a series of castles, picking one to occupy and dominate with. You're attacked by fleets of ships coming in from the sea, and you have to fend them off using cannons, while repairing your castle to keep those sea-faring scalawags at bay. How To Play Dragon Ball Heroes Arcade Game (English)
Living in Japan you will notice a lot of arcades. One of my childhood anime's was Dragonball Z. When seeing this game in the arcade I wanted to know how to play but since I don't fully know Japanese yet I couldn't. Until my Japanese friend explained to me how. 1) Buy a Capsule Corp. point card at a toy store. (430 yen) 2) Sit down at a machine, throw in 100 yen. 3) First option is to play against the CPU, Left option is to just buy a card and the right option is to play against your friend on the other machine. 4) Once selecting against the CPU, it will ask you to insert your capsule corps. card. 5) If you don't have one, just press the red button and continue. 6) A game card will drop below, take it and put it on the battlefield. 7) Next it will ask you, which saga to play against. 8) Play around with the saga's to see who you would verse. The option where there is nobody to vs. is the go back option. Usually a dark green option. 9) After selecting who you wish to fight, set your team in which position you wish for them to attack or "regenerate". Each character can have up to 4 bars of power. The red zone up front uses 3 bars of attack power. This will do the most damage. The orange zone uses 2 bars of attack power. The yellow zone uses 1 bar of attack power. The blue zone regenerates your bars. (skipping an attack) Some characters when fully charged have special transformations or abilities.
