Antwerpen-Centraal (Antwerp Central) is the name of the main railway station in the Belgian city of Antwerp. The station is operated by the national railway company NMBS/SNCB. History and architecture: The original station building was constructed between 1895 and 1905 as a replacement for the original terminus of the Brussels-Mechelen-Antwerp Railway. The stone clad terminus buildings, with a vast dome above the waiting room hall were designed by Louis Delacenserie and the vast (185 metres long and 44 metres high) iron and glass trainshed by Clement van Bogaert. Video met ingescande dia's van de Antwerpse tram. De dia's zijn gemaakt in mei 1988 toen het vervoerbedrif nog Maatschappij voor het Intercommunaal Vervoer te Antwerpen, afgekort MIVA, heette. Enkele PCC trams reden nog in créme kleur met bruine sierlijn. Het merendeel was inmiddels rood. Verder was er een grote hoeveelheid reclametrams, zoals de ZOO-tram, de Haven-tram en de Poezen-tram. Dia serie mit Bilder vom Straßenbahnbetrieb in Antwerpen, Belgiën. Die Dia's wurden gemacht in Mai 1988, als der Verkehrsbetriebe noch Maatschappij voor het Intercommunaal Vervoer te Antwerpen, abgekürtzt MIVA, hiess. Heute fahren die trams unter der nahme De Lijn. Die mehrheit der PCC motorwagen waren schon in Rot gestrichen aber es gab noch einige wagen in Beige farbgebung mit braunen zierlinie. Dazu kamen zahlreiche Werbetrams, wie das ZOO-tram, der Hafen-tram und der Katzen-tram. Photo-video about the trams of Antwerp, Belgium. Brandweer Antwerpen - Uitslaande woningbrand Oude Koornmarkt

Een uitslaande brand verwoest een woning in het historische centrum van Antwerpen. Wegenwerken in de straat maken het de brandweer extra lastig om de interventieplaats te bereiken, en de krachtige wind wakkert de dakbrand nog meer aan. Mede omwille van het vele hout dat als bouwmateriaal gebruikt werd, had het vuur vrij spel. Pas na een uur blussen kreeg men de brand onder controle, het neblussen duurde nog eens zo lang. Tijdens de interventie werden bewoners van aangrenzende woningen geëvacueerd. Niemand raakte gewond. Een hondje werd wel uit de brandende woning gered. Onderzoek door een branddeskundige toonde aan dat het vuur werd aangestoken gezien er brandversnellers aangetroffen werden.

The E34 (former N49) highway from Zelzate to Antwerp. This section is build in the early 80's as an expressroad with traffic-light junctions. In the past 15 years this road is build-up to a highway. The part near Moerbeke has a bad pavement caused by foundation problems. This section isn't very busy but it's an important connection between the Belgian harbours.

Later that same year Ricci recorded his first album, Jason Ricci.
