We will speak with Hillel Neuer, the executive director of UN Watch, who argues that the current preparatory meetings for Durban II ignore key issues in Africa in favour of chastising Israel. Israel and the US pulled out of Durban I, claiming it was anti-semitic, and Neuer believes that the only way to avert a similar disaster at Durban II (to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, in April 2009) is for the EU to threaten a boycott. Joining the programme from London, Islamic Human Rights Commission Chair Massoud Shadjareh argues that Durban II should move forward as planned and that putting the issue of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians is necessary if racism is to be truly addressed.

No one says a country that is 100% black needs more diversity. No one says a country that is 100% asian needs more diversity. No one says a country that is 100% oriental needs more diversity. They are already 100% diverse. All white countries and only white countries always need to be more diverse. Hindraf anti-racism/Interlok rally: more arrests
In addition to Uthayakumar, scores of other persons suspected of being participants in the rally have also been taken in by the police this morning - seven at KLCC and 10 at the Renaissance Hotel. Their identities have not yet been ascertained. As at 10am, it has been estimated that about 100 people have been arrested in various parts of Kuala Lumpur. The police appeared to be stopping and arresting anyone suspected as Hindraf supporters, especially Indians, who were found walking in the streets of Kuala Lumpur.

I am of course, not going to argue that whenever the term 'racist' is used it means 'anti-white', that's just outright stupid. In many instances though, especially in academia, the act of dismantling racism has been one and the same with the act of dismantling 'whiteness'. This isn't to argue that said critics don't make valid points, but to state that reducing racism to a solely White supremacist issue is to legitimate other forms of racism that white people are on the recieving end of. I hope that clarifies things. We are constantly told to be inclusive, and to be accepting of other people's ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. However, racism against White people is far greater than that against non-Whites. Why the media blackout on the issue? Euro MPs are visiting Luton today for an anti-racism campaign, this sparked a planned protest by the English Defence League.
