Amiga Longplay [880] Breathless
www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Ironclaw Release date: 1995 I started out spraying bullets, noticing later that the enemies needs more and more damage to die, so I started to run out of ammo. I had to upgrade to a better weapon, which uses more ammo per bullet, so ammo still went down fast. I began trying to aim more carefully, shooting one bullet aa time and stuff. Later in the game there were just tons of ammo everywhere but I now still played with the ammo-saving habit anyway. As the game is fairly easy and I skipped most health packages, at later levels I just didn't bother trying to avoid enemy fire as much, sometimes standing still to better aim while taking damage. I played the first 4 levels once before playing again and recording, to know what to do and where to go etc, for a smoother longplay. But that takes too much time so after that I play all levels for the first time. I pretend to be careful, moving slowly around corners and stuff, which of course is not needed (as the game is fairly easy), but I did it for fun and to make it more exciting :P. I could just as well have run straight into everything, which is how I would have played if I didn't record. As I didn't know how easy credits would be to obtain, I wanted to use the starting weapon as long as possible, not spending credits on upgrades as I wanted to have enough later on for the best weapon. But like I said above, I had to upgrade later. Turned out there were way more credits that I expected. At ...

Commodore Amiga History
The Amiga is a family of personal computers that was sold by Commodore in the 1980s and 1990s. The first model was launched in 1985 as a high-end home computer and became popular for its graphical, audio and multi-tasking abilities. Commodore company declared bankruptcy in April 1994. The company was bought by Escom which also went bankrupt. In 2005, the brand survived after mergers with Yeahronimo Media Ventures Inc., SATXS Communications BV and Tulip Computers.
Amiga game music selection
Just few of my favorite Amiga tunes and some lesser known tracks as well. I did this compilation for personal use, but decided to upload it here so you can listen it as well if you like. Everything was recorded manually from WinUAE using 30% stereo separation for better headphones listening experience (imo most amiga games sound a bit extreme with 100% stereo even though more accurate to listening on real Amiga). I could've recorded most of these tracks on my Amiga 500, but there's not much point in that because UAE has really good sound playback and it would've cost me a lot more time to do so. There are two or three small audio glitches somewhere, but nothing serious. I tried to do a relatively comprehensive look into the vast world of Amiga music games, but ended up spamming few of my favorite composers. I'm confident several of everyones favorites are missing here, hopefully you can live with that. I had to cut parts from some of the longer songs so not to stretch this compilation too much. I also skipped some of the best Amiga tunes (such as Turrican 2 ost and music by Allister Brimble) on purpose because I've listened those so much they're pouring out of my ears by now ;-) I'll leave the track names blank for now, I'll add the names later if someone likes to guess where they are taken from. I wanted to include some ingame video from each game, but that would've been little bit too much extra effort. This will be my only Amiga game music exclusive upload, hope you'll ...

The Amiga 500 promo video (1987)
Back in the dark days of DOS computers, all you had to work with your computer were white numbers on a black screen. To do any simple function, you had to write a long line of complicated code. No GUI's! For the novice, it was horrible. Then, one day I saw a video for an Amiga 500 computer and I was hooked! Out went my crappy DOS-system and I bought an Amiga. Suddenly I could do easy lists of all my videos but most of all I could do quality video titles, animations and more. And until the iMac came out with easy digital video, THIS was the way to go! I used mine for years. Step back 20 years and visit the future with the Amiga 500 computer! (See the Amiga 2000 Demo elsewhere in my listings.) Release Date: 1987

Alien Fish Finger, Amiga - Overlooked Oldies
Alien Fish Finger is an old shareware game for the Amiga. It's quite impressive, with nice animations, controls and physics. It's a run and gun platform game with small sprites, reminiscent of the graphical style of Benefactor. Another nice touch is that some of the terrain is destructible. Weapon upgrades, grenades, extra lives and health can be picked up from dead enemies. I couldn't find out much about the game since it's quite obscure. It doesn't even have an entry on Moby Games. "OverlookedOldies" is a series of let's play videos of retro games that I somehow never played back in the day. Many of them will be suggestions made by subscribers. Intro music is from the classic "cracktro" by Unit A. The full version can be heard and seen here: flashtro.com Categorised lists of all my videos can be found on my site: www.tinyurl.com

Amiga Longplay [718] The Town With No Name (a) (CDTV) (FULL VERSION)
www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Ironclaw Game release year: 1992 Worst CD game of all time? Hmm, don't know. 00:28 - tutorial 02:20 - intro 04:53 - game 25:16 - the pebble people 25:26 - alternative way of ending the game (leaving town whenever you want) 26:05 - what happens when you shoot close but miss the first enemy 26:31 - death 1 26:46 - death 2 27:00 - death 3 27:12 - game over 27:27 - the making of 'The Town With No Name' (so they call it, but I don't really see it as a "making of" thingy This is an updated version of this longplay. The old one didn't have all the bad guys in it cuz at the time I didn't know how to 'unlock' them. I went through the game again and added the important parts, leaving one or two death scenes (got 3 included though), also left out some dialogue, like one more with the bartender and probably one or more with 'the man with the cigarette' and the priest. For those wondering what the "Special, Mystery Option!" is, it's just some advertisment of their other games, like Psycho Killer etc. Here's the characters and stuff I recognize in this game: * The main character (the stranger/drifter) = an attempt at John Wayne? (at least the voice) * The man with the cigarette = Clint Eastwood * The scene when Nasty Ned is riding into town = from Blazing Saddles (if I recall correctly) * The "Meanwhile" text = Back to the Future * The "BACK IN Town" text = I can't quite put my finger on it, but was it from Beverly Hills Cop? (I know it's from a ...

Amiga Longplay [757] Zalycon (PD)
www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Ironclaw Game release year: 1992 I only recorded this game because I like some of the music, like the title and the final level. The final level went over too fast, so I added the full tune to the end of the game. Have you seen my Savage longplay? Similar type of music, I like them both very much :) This game runs in 50fps, so the scrolling is nice and smooth. Most of the text is flickering in two colors, but as YouTube doesn't support 50fps, this video won't have that smooth scroll and the flickering text will just be... plain looking. Download the video instead if you want to watch it in 50fps. 00:00 - Intro 01:36 - Title 04:34 - Level 1 06:30 - Level 2 08:48 - Level 3 (bonus level) 09:57 - Level 4 15:10 - Level 5 16:03 - End 19:04 - Full level 5 tune

Animated Amiga Tribute by Eric Schwartz
The song "Still Alive" is a little past it's prime today, and in fact I could have had this up in January, but I'd been trying since then to get usage permission from Valve software, with no response at all except some positive comment from songwriter Jonathan Coulton (Thanks John!). So - I'll just recommend that everyone who likes the music either buy the game Portal, or the music CD/track downloads from Amazon. Hope you enjoy the vid.

Amiga Longplay [766] Defenders of the Earth
www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Hipoonios In the beginning the game says "loading level 1". But there is only one big level in this game. Really weird. The aim of the game is just to find the exit. Which is not so easy as it looks like with all these spawning enemies. You also need to find all weapon upgrades. Otherwise you have no chance later in the game. Sometimes the game just stops. This is because the game is loading.

Amiga Misc [046] The Shadow of the Third Moon
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a 'misc' movie, which means it's just a short sample, not a complete longplay. The main purpose is to show a bit from the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game release year: 1997 Played by Ironclaw This game has some nice music, so I decided to record a bit. I've only played it for like 10 minutes before recording, so I suck :P. It started playing another track at 07:26 for some reason, too bad, cuz that's my favorite CD track. I play through some missions in 30fps smoothness. You can choose to steer with the mouse or keyboard/joystick, I chose a combo of both. I had some minor difficulties with the controls. One thing was I had the sensitivity set too high on the mouse, so when I wanted to fly up or down it just.... acted weird, so I used the keyboard for that. Should have spent some time to set the controls before playing :) I didn't do proper cropping cuz this is just a misc video so I made the editing quick. Maybe I'll do a longplay of this game someday. Text from AmigaOmega's video version of this game: "Utilising a voxel engine, the game creates a 3d landscape to fly around and destroy air and ground targets. Enough options to scale to moderate to fully loaded amigas. For AGA and RTG Amigas. 68030 min, 68060 to run maxed out detail." Played & recorded using WinUAE ...
