Fernando Alonso drives Ferrari 458 Spider
Right before the start of the race weekend of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Fernando Alonso wanted to try the new 458 Spider, which will be presented at the IAA Frankfurt next Tuesday. The Scuderia Ferrari driver enjoyed the potential of the 8-cylinder mid-rear engine from the Prancing Horse - with hard top and fitted with the same most advanced technological content as the multi-awarded 458 Italia and now available in an "en plein air" version - on the roads around Maranello. Alonso was extremely satisfied with the perfect combination of high performance, exceptional handling and the engine sound the 458 Spider is able to deliver.

Fernando Alonso says Ferrari have "full trust" in Felipe Massa despite speculation the Maranello-based outfit are thinking of dropping his Brazilian team-mate following an unimpressive start to 2012 at the Australian Grand Prix . Double world champion Alonso finished fifth in Melbourne whilst Massa retired following a collision with Bruno Senna's Williams, but the Spaniard believes Massa's performance was a "one-off" despite his patchy form since recovering from a heavy accident during qualifying for the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix . Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali also urges his team to "stay close" to a "psychologically fragile" Massa in order to allow him to allow the 11-time Grand Prix winner to "express his talent".

Today was their party, the Kids Christmas, a traditional event which takes place every year over the Christmas period. This year it was held in a special area set up in the Fiorano track's steering pad, featuring games, attractions and theatre performances with all sorts of events aimed specifically at the youngest members of the Ferrari family. Over twelve hundred company employees and their families attended the party, the children receiving gifts from some rather special Father Christmases such as Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Jules Bianchi, Marc Gene, Andrea Bertolini and Davide Rigon and others from the Corse Clienti, including Gimmi Bruni and Toni Vilander. On stage with them were Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo and Team Principal Stefano Domenicali and they took the opportunity to make yet another appeal, reminding everyone this is also the weekend of Italy's marathon television charity event, Telethon. The non-profit making organisation's main aim is raising funds for research into curing muscular dystrophy and other genetic illnesses.

The Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro drivers visited Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the theme park centred on the Maranello marque. It is located on Yas Island, the venue which hosts the nineteenth and final round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Felipe and Fernando arrived in the Emirates on Tuesday night to bring the curtain down on this closely contested season and today they were taken to the Scuderia Challenge, an attraction in the park which allows people to tackle a simulated lap of the Yas Marina Circuit at the wheel of a 430 Scuderia Challenge car. Four journalists were in attendance, Ottavio Daviddi of Tutto Sport, Stefano Mancini of La Stampa, Laurent Dupin of TF1 and Julien Febreau of Europe 1. These men were the top qualifiers of a competition held yesterday for the international media. The two drivers were bubbling with excitement having just experienced the Formula Rossa, the world's fastest rollercoaster. "Really incredible," was the unanimous verdict of Fernando Alonso who won the first race on the simulator and Felipe Massa, at the end of the breathtaking lap. "Thanks to this attraction, all lovers of speed, like us will be able to experience, for once in their lives at least, the unique sensation of being launched into the air at 240 kilometres per hour, as well as enjoying what is a truly great day for all real Ferrari fans."

A Tribute to Fernando Alonso
Well, I've been working on and off on this due to assignments and exams (which should be finished in exactly 1 week) and so this took around 10 days to edit as opposed to the usual 2-4 that I normally take. Sorry, about that. Doesn't matter though, my awaited Fernando Alonso Tribute remake is finally here. And I know I've said this a lot, but it's my most complex video yet. It's the first video I've made that exceeds 100 edits per minute, in fact. Can't be bothered writing a very long description, physics assignment due tomorrow and all.
