A330 Tour. i-Italy Boards the New Alitalia Aircraft
At the JFK airport in New York City Alitalia unveiled one if its two new A330s, a luxurious aircraft that has been flying since July 2010. Alitalia's new slogan, which is embodied by the A330, is "a true, sincere, unforgettable Italian experience" said Antonio Temporini, Senior Vice President. Alitalia is modernizing and refining its image by using; " The A330 was briefly opened up for a tour, and guests were escorted through the aircraft's three classes: the Magnifica Business Class, the Classica Plus, and the most economic, the Classica.

Worst airline ever....Alitalia Airlines bumped confirmed ticket holders WITH seats and boarding passes 8 times over 3+ days. They lied and told us to get hotels, and they would reimburse..then wouldn't pay for our 2 extra hotel nights, they wouldn't do anything to remedy the situation. We were lied to throughout the ordeal. To make matters worse a bird crapped on my ticket, we almost lost a wallet, a passport, credit cards, and our minds. Allitalia refused to respond to 3 letters of complaint. This is a partial recap...In reality it was worse than we are treating it. We try to always make the best out of a situation. We document all our trips..look for more soon.

March 17, 2012 / Logan Intl. Airport Nothing too dramaticly exciting in this video besides the Alitalia 777 rare appearance. Some late afternoon heavy arrivals taxing. Despite the overcast skies, I thought the lighting, sound, and clarity came out pretty good. No doubt the 767 had the loudest engines during taxi. How about the sexiest plane out of the group? Sorry Boeing, the Airbus A330!

An Alitalia Cargo MD-11 carrying toxic materials from Milan to Miami makes an emergency in Boston after the pilots reported a strange smell in the aircraft. The subsequent investigation reveals that the odor was not due to a chemical spill, but rather to a 5 ton load of onions the plane was transporting. Recorded on liveatc.net

Alitalia B767 with Landing Gear Problems at JFK
On February 9th, 2011, an Alitalia Boeing 767-300, registration EI-DDW performing flight AZ643 from EWR to FCO, was climbing out of EWR when the crew reported main gear trouble. The crew intended to divert to JFK but seeked visual confirmation from the ground that the main gear was in fact down. The jet overflew Republic airport at 1600 feet and received positive feedback, then went on to perform a missed approach at JFK's runway 22R for a final visual report from the tower. It then landed at JFK's runway 22R. Air traffic control recordings (source: liveatc.net) are of conversations with New York Approach (ROBER sector), New York Final Approach, JFK Tower and New York Departure.
