Pharrell says that he is most proud of the fact that Neil Young, Quentin Tarantino and RZA would all appreciate this album. Shay says that its a blend of a lot of things that he thinks this generation will appreciate. Chad, well Chad didn't say much during the whole interview but he did get in a couple classic lines if you listen closely...specially the one about knee pads at the end. In this segment of the interview, the band share their favorite songs on the album, Pharrell Inside a Cloud, Shay: Victory and Perfect Defect, Chad: Perfect Defect and Party People. Shay states that what keeps it fresh after all this time is that they are forever pushing the envelope and that they have creative battles which keeps it healthy. The album's style is arguably the most blues rock-oriented of the band's catalog. Following the departure of their record producer Paul A. Rothchild (who, contrary to popular myth, loved "Riders on the Storm" but dismissed the group's differing style on "Love Her Madly" as "cocktail music")[1] around November 1970, the Doors and engineer Bruce Botnick began production on the album at The Doors Workshop in Los Angeles. Crooked talks Dollar Story, Royce: Success is Certain, Joe: The Great Escape, Joell Ortiz: currently untitled album but is in works with new label. The conversation moves on to Joell stating that he still listens to the Classics and isn't really inspired by the New Generation of rappers, though he does shout out J Cole and Wiz Khalifa. Joell makes a great point when he says that these days "People are listening to music with their eyes!" Crooked adds that new artists need to do more research on the history of hip hop. As the conversation progresses Joell describes how music has allowed him to travel, which has opened his mind, including recent trip to Skid Row with Sick Jacken. Love Songs is a compilation album that comprises love songs recorded by The Beatles between 1962 and 1970. It was released by Capitol Records in the United States on 21 October 1977 (catalogue number SKBL-11711) and on Parlophone in the United Kingdom on 19 November 1977 (PCSP 721.) The compilation peaked at #24 in Billboard's Top LPs & Tape chart during a thirty-one week stay that began on 12 November 1977 The RIAA certified the album with sales of three million units in 2000 even though the compilation was deleted in the late 1980s.The New Zealand release followed the US release with cat. no. and pressing plates, and was released on 2 different EMI labels. The LP's original packaging included an 11 x 11" booklet, with the songs' lyrics printed, calligraphy-style, on simulated parchment paper. For the first several pressings, the cover itself was simulated leather, and the Beatles' image (a re-working of Richard Avedon's 1967 portrait, featured in Look Magazine) was simulated gold-foil. The LP was also available on yellow vinyl.
