Agnetha sings her second song on "The Heat Is On" Special from April 1983. This show was part of a promotional tour to publicise her first solo album after Abba, which was called "Wrap Your Arms Around Me". The album reached No.1 in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium and Denmark. Here she sings the title track from the album. This song had limited release as a single, but still reached No.1 in Belgium and No.3 in Holland. Her whispering technique here is as hot as anything you will ever see in a song. She censors it herself by turning her back completely to the audience. As always Agnetha does not hold back in her performances. This will set your temperatures rising alright! The song on the B-side, "Fly Like the Eagle", was also a duet by Fältskog and Håkansson. Both songs were featured in the documentary It's Time for Sweden. I'm using a new version of movie maker I can't stand and I'm having trouble getting used to. It is so much difficult and harder to manage. In May 1983, Agnetha Fältskog released her first post-ABBA solo album, Wrap Your Arms Around Me. The album became a moderate hit in North America and Australia, and reached the higher regions of the charts across Europe, including number 1 in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium and Denmark (where it became the biggest-selling album of the year), and number 18 in the UK. Agnetha sold 1.2 million records of her first solo album after ABBA.Two singles from the album became hits in continental Europe. "The Heat Is On" became a number 1 hit in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and the Netherlands, but only just scraped into the UK Top 40. The title track also peaked at number 1 in Belgium as well as the Top Five in the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa. In North America, the album track "Can't Shake Loose" was released as the lead-off single, reaching No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and number 23 on the RPM Top 50 singles chart in Canada. The song you hear now, "Man", was released as B-side to "The Heat Is On", but is nowadays still very strong and catchy enough to be treated as a single on its own. She was born on April 5, 1950 in Jonkoping. She played piano when she was 5 years old. At 15, she joined a dance band"Bernt Enghardts Orkester" When she was 17 she wrote her first big hit "Jag Var Sa Kar". In Germany in 1968 she met her future boyfriend Dieter Zimmerman In 1969 Agnetha met Bjorn Ulvaeus Later in 1969 Agnetha and Bjorn moved together On July 6, 1971 the weeding bells rang up in the church in Verum in Scania in southern part of Sweden. In 1972, she played Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. In May 1972 Agnetha found out she was pregnant. The group which was still called Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha & Frida performed on Swedish eliminations to the Eurovision Song Contest. They did not win this time. Some days later on February 23, 1973 Agnetha gave birth to a girl.Her name is Linda Elin Ulvaeus. On April 6, 1974, they participated in the Eurovision Song Contest. They won the contest.Since then the band is called ABBA. In 1977 ABBA toured in Australia. There have been shooting for Abba-The Movie. On December 4, 1977 Agnetha gave birth to her and Bjorn's second child Peter Christian. Bjorn's and Agnetha's marriage lasted for almost 8 years until January 1979 when the couple announced officially that they go separate ways.They remained good friends. In 1979 ABBA took the last tour. In 1982,the band broke up. Agnetha continued to have a solo career

Agnetha Fältskog - Jag Var Så Kär
Agnetha Fältskog is the self-titled debut studio album by Swedish pop singer and ABBA member Agnetha Fältskog. It was released in Sweden in early 1968 through Cupol Records.Fältskog had been singing with the local Swedish "dansband" Bengt Engharts in Jönköping for quite a while when the group decided to send a tape of demos to Cupol Records in Autumn of 1967. Singer, producer and A & R man Little Gerhard (né Karl-Gerhard Lundqvist) listened to the tape and happened to notice that besides the band's demos there was also a young girl singing on the flipside of the tape, backwards. He played it the other way round and heard "Jag var så kär" for the first time. Lundqvist was so impressed with the song and Fältskog's voice that he called her at the car firm where she was working at the time and offered her a recording contract, only as a solo singer, without the band. Eventually, Fältskog's first recording session took place on October 16, 1967, at Philips Studio in Stockholm. This recording session produced four songs, which would all end up on her first album: "Jag var så kär" and "Utan dej mitt liv går vidare" (both composed by Agnetha herself) as well as "Följ med mig" and "Slutet gott, allting gott". "Jag var så kär" and "Följ med mig" were eventually be released as Fältskog's debut single (CUPOL CS 45-211) in November 1967, the latter up-tempo track being its A-side. But it was Fältskog's self-penned tear-jerker "Jag var så kär" which became her first entry and also ...
