George Duke After Dinner Drink
George Duke (born 12 January 1946 in San Rafael, California) is a piano and synthesizer pioneer and singer. He made a name for himself with the album The Jean-Luc Ponty Experience with the George Duke Trio. He is known for his solo work as well as for his collaborations with other musicians, particularly Frank Zappa. Duke attended Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley before earning a bachelor's degree in music from the San Francisco Conservatory in 1967. He appeared on a number of Zappa's albums in the early and mid-1970s, including Chunga's Revenge, 200 Motels, Waka/Jawaka, The Grand Wazoo, Apostrophe,Over-Nite Sensation, One Size Fits All, Bongo Fury and Roxy & Elsewhere. Duke's other high-profile collaborators include Jean-Luc Ponty, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, Cannonball Adderley, his cousin Dianne Reeves, Deniece Williams, Jeffrey Osborne, George Clinton, Anita Baker, Regina Belle, Rachelle Ferrell, Marilyn Scott and Mike Mainieri's fusion group Steps Ahead, for whom he produced the track "Magnetic Love." He also served as a producer and composer for two instrumental tracks on Miles Davis albums: "Backyard Ritual" (from Tutu, 1986) and "Cobra" (from Amandla, 1989). He has also worked with a number of notable Brazilian musicians, including singer Milton Nascimento, percussionist Airto Moreira and singer Flora Purim. (Disclaimer: I hope no one involved with the production of this film will be offended by my uploading these clips. I just thought I would do it as a service to their fans who, I think, will like the adaptation even more with the extra scenes.) When I heard that PBS was cutting seven minutes out of the new BBC production of Jane Austen's "Persuasion" I was not a happy camper. I decided to figure out what had been cut out and have managed to clip the main missing scenes together. Some other small bits were trimmed, but these are the ones I wish they had kept (particularly the conversations between Capt. Wentworth and Capt. Harville!!). Other scenes that were shortened include: - Lady Russell's first conversation with Sir Walter - Lady Russell's conversation with Anne (in Anne's room) about Capt. Wentworth - Mary's complaining about being ill when Anne first visits her - The dancing scene after dinner with the Crofts - Walking across the log and then walking across the field - Anne putting on her hat, getting ready to visit Mrs. Smith - Everyone getting seated at the concert at the Pump Rooms They also shortened Anne's runs through Bath trying to find Capt. Wentworth, and their first kiss was edited down as well. The second part of my Cyberbully movie. ~Storyline~ After dinner, Abbi gets ready for bed and goes to bed. The next day at school, the class takes a division test. After class, Abbi receives a rude text message--about her. What will Abbi do? ~ ~ ~ Mr. Rodriguez's voice is my dad. THANK YOU DAD!!!
