Mein Name ist Desmond Miles und ich bin Gefangener. Ein Gefangener dieser verrückten Wissenschaftler. Sie haben mir aufgelauert und mich einfach so entführt und an diese Maschine angeschlossen. Der Wissenschaftler nennt es „Animus" und möchte irgendwelche Informationen von mir, einem einfachen Barkeeper. Zu meiner Verwunderung weiss er von meiner dunklen Vergangenheit. Er weiss das ich ein Assassine bin, oder besser gesagt einer werden sollte. Der Kerl gab mir nicht gerade viele Möglichkeiten. Sollte ich mich weigern ihnen zu helfen, würden sie mich einfach töten. Er ist überzeugt, ich würde spezielle Informationen in mir tragen, die er unbedingt braucht. Ich muss hier in einer verdammten Irrenanstalt gelandet sein. Als ich mich zurück in die Maschine legte erklärte der Kerl mir das Prinzip der Erinnerungen. Als ob ich nicht wüsste was eine einfache Erinnerung wäre. Dann fing er aber plötzlich damit an, dass wir nicht nur unsere eigenen Erinnerungen in uns tragen, sondern auch die unserer Vorfahren. Auf diese Weise erklärt er den Instinkt. Der Instikt soll lediglich aus Erinnerungen der Vorfahren stammen. Deshalb sollen Tiere einige Sachen einfach wissen und kennen. Der Animus soll in der Lage sein, solche Erinnerungen zu dekodieren, lesen und sie in 3D wiederzugeben. Der Benutzer der Maschine, also ich, sollte dann die Erinnerung wie einen Film oder so sehen. Die Typen wollen anscheinend irgendetwas von meinem Vorfahren wissen und benutzen mich als Überwachunskamera. Was ...

...mein Name ist Desmond Miles und das ist meine Geschichte: Kurz nachdem ich diese seltsamen Inschriften aus Blut an meinen Wänden gesehen habe, die vermutlich von meinem Vorgänger stammen, ist Lucy plötzlich wieder aufgetaucht. Sie war blutverschmiert und aufgeregt, als ob etwas schlimmes passiert wäre. Sie verlangte von mir, in den Animus zu steigen. Anscheinend suchte sie relevante Erinnerungen von mir und diesem Subjekt 16, der Testperson die vor mir hier gefangen gehalten wurde. Kurze Zeit später wurde eine Erinnerung geladen und ich wurde Zeuge der Geburt von einem meiner Vorfahren names Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Die Erinnerung wurde von Lucy allerdings wieder unterbrochen. Es war Zeit zu fliehen. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich tatsächlich so schnell von hier fliehen würde. Lucy kam, zu meiner Verwunderung, bestens mit den Sicherheitsleuten klar. Sie hatte die Flucht schon lange geplant. In einer grossen Halle habe ich weitere Animusse, oder Animi, entdeckt. Mit einer neuen Fähigkeit, die ich anscheinend durch meine letzten Sitzungen erhalten habe, konnte ich die Tür zu einem Aufzug öffnen. Im Parkhaus wurden wir dann von weiteren Wachleuten angegriffen. Lucy hatte keinen grossen Probleme. Ich war von uns beiden der Unerfahrene. Gemeinsam konnten wir sie aber schlagen. Bei ihrem Wagen angekommen zwängte sie mich in den Kofferraum um mich aus dem Gebäude zu schmuggeln. Ich hatte ja keine Ahnung, was gleich auf mich zukommen würde...

Assassin's Creed 3 - Retrospective Desmond [HD]
La société Abstergo force Desmond Miles, un descendant du clan des assassins, à revivre les souvenirs (et par conséquent les actions) de l'un de ses ancêtres, Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad, en utilisant une machine complexe qui décode la mémoire génétique: l'Animus. Ces souvenirs sont nécessaires à la société pour mener à bien un projet scientifique top-secret. Desmond se retrouve donc « synchronisé » avec la vie de son ancêtre. Il comprend que le bâtiment dans lequel il se trouve est attaqué par des opposants (les assassins) à l'organisation qui le retient prisonnier, et que ces gens semblent décidés à le libérer. La tentative échoue, et Desmond reste prisonnier d'Abstergo, sans certitude sur son avenir... Lucy lui demande de rentrer à nouveau dans l'Animus. Il assiste alors à la naissance d'un certain Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Tous deux fuient rapidement le bâtiment d'Abstergo. Arrivé à un entrepôt qui semble être le repère des Assassins, Lucy explique qu'elle veut avoir Desmond dans leur camp. Elle lui propose de s'entraîner rapidement grâce à l'effet secondaire de l'Animus qui lui permettra d'acquérir l'expérience d'Ezio, son ancêtre. Desmond accepte et rencontre le reste de l'équipe : Rebecca Crane qui s'occupe de l'Animus 2.0 des Assassins, et Shaun Hastings, tacticien et historien sarcastique. Desmond ne tarde pas et rentre dans la machine... Au fur et à mesure de sa quête, Ezio se rendra compte qu'il est au centre d'une prophétie inscrite sur le codex de son ancêtre Altaïr ...

It's revealed that Abstergo is run by an ancient group of "Templars", who maintain an ever-so-likely goal of world domination and life-long badassery. Using Desmond's ancestor, the Templars attempt to discover the location and nature of the "Pieces of Eden", ancient artifacts sought after by the Templars and The Brotherhood of Assassins. By force, Desmond enters the boots of his distant ancestor Altair from 12th century Holy Land, who, after dispatching a number of morally questionable individuals, discovers a fragment of the "Piece of Eden." Deciding they no longer need him, Abstergo attempts to kill Desmond but falls short, allowing his escape. So, Cluster 6 ist an der Reihe. Wieder versucht 16 am Anfang irgendwas zu sagen. Die nächsten Bilder handeln jetzt von Russland und deren Verbündete. Allerdings soll es noch einen wichtigen Verbündeten gaben, den niemand kennen soll. Natürlich handelt es sich dabei um die Templer. Auf einem Bild konnte man das Templerkreuz entdecken. Dahinter ist wieder eine Verschlüsselung, die von Shaun geknackt wurde. Die verschlossene Datei zeigt einen Brief von Abstergo an den Generalstab Russlands. Irgendwas wegen Gorbatschow. Jetzt wird wieder so eine Telefonaufzeichnung abgespielt. Es geht um eine Fusion zwischen Banken. Das ganze war ein Auftrag von Abstergo. Wie immer blieben sie im Verborgenen. Niemand wusste von ihnen. Das Schachspiel spricht von Verrat. Abstergo baute mit diesen Hilfsmittel in der Vergangenheit Kontrolle auf. Cluster 7 konzentriert sich auf die Menschen. Gerade zählt 16 irgendwelche Daten auf. Was bedeutet das ganze? Waren das alles wichtige Jahre? 16 scheint es zu verstehen, wir aber irgendwie nicht. Ich zumindest nicht. Jetzt sind wieder so Bilder an der Reihe. Die Bilder selbst zeigen Hinweise zum Passwort. Selbst die Richter waren Templer damals. Abstergo hat einfach überall seine Leute.
