A-HA LIFELINES (2002)

Lifelines One time to know that it's real one time to know how it feels that's all One call - your voice on the phone one place - a moment alone that's all What do you see? What do you know? What are the signs? What will I do? Just follow your lifelines through What if it hurts? What then? What do we do? What do you say? Don't throw your lifelines away (bis) One time - just once in my life one time - to know it can happen twice One shot - of a clear blue sky one look - I see no reasons why we can't One chance to go back to the point where everything starts One chance to keep it together when things fall apart One sign to make us believe it's true What do you see? Where do we go? one sign How do we grow? By letting your lifelines show What if we do? What now? What do you say? How do I know? Don't let your lifeline go (x3) Disclaimer: I do not own this video.

Crying in the rain- A-HA

"Crying in the Rain" is a song written by Howard Greenfield and Carole King and was originally recorded by The Everly Brothers. The single peaked at #6 on the US pop charts In 1990, the Norwegian pop band a-ha covered the song. Following its success, a-ha became closer to the Everly Brothers, who had originally recorded the song. The band members were presented a set of guitars by the Everly Brothers that a-ha continues to use. This is one of the few commercially available songs which a-ha have covered. The only others being "Velvet", first released by Savoy, and "Dragonfly", first released by Magne Furuholmen. Though often given the misnomer of "one-hit wonder" in the US, a-ha has actually had a number of singles appear on various charts there, though none anywhere near as big a hit as their debut, "Take on Me". "Crying in the Rain" was a-ha's last single to go top 40 on a Billboard chart in the US to date, peaking at #26 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart during the week ending April 6, 1991. It was more popular internationally, topping the charts in the band's native Norway, and peaking at #13 in the UK Singles Chart, where the band had found previous success as well. A-ha (normally spelled entirely in lower-case and some of their logos have the letter "a" italicised - a-ha) is a synthpop/rock band from Norway founded in 1982 by members of previous bands Spider Empire (19771979) and Bridges (19791982). The group initially rose to fame during the 1980s and has ...

a-ha - I Wish I Cared

To hold me closer or set me free To trust completely or let it be You don't know my destiny You can't see what I can see Hey - I wish I cared Hey - I wish I cared To love me truely or let me go Inbetween I don't want to know This is how it has to be No more us and no more we Hey - I wish I cared Hey - I wish I cared Once again, on the station See your face in a crowd Comes again the sensation You can't hear yourself think With their voices inside your head Hey - I wish I cared

A-Ha - Foot of The Mountain (Offical Music Video / Orginal)

Pal Waaktaar and Magne Furuholmen, formerly of Bridges formed a-ha in the early '80s. Morten Harket joined the duo, and they left for the now "legendary London flat" (so called because of its state of disrepair) to make it. By late 1983 they had achieved part of that goal by signing to WEA. "Take on Me" took three times to become a hit in the UK, eventually hitting number two in November 1985. Going one better in the US mainly due to the wide exposure of its stunning video on MTV, which fused animation with real-life action, their only further hit there was "The Sun Always Shines on TV" which became a UK number one in early 1986 helping take the album Hunting High and Low to the Top Ten. Mostly an album of synth pop, the press were quick to dismiss them as a teeny bop sensation; however, there was more to a-ha than met the ear in Waaktaar's writing, and a more mature effort, Scoundrel Days, was released in October, 1986. More focused, it had a stronger band feel thanks to its live drumming, displayed to great lengths on "The Swing of Things and lead single "I've Been Losing You" -- a shock to critics at the time. Further striking imagery accompanied "Cry Wolf." After a world tour, a-ha supplied the soundtrack to the James Bond flick The Living Daylights. A remix appeared on their third album, Stay on These Roads, in 1988. Considered lackluster, Stay on These Roads did feature some interesting lyrics in "Blood That Moves the Body," regarding the over-intense affection the ...

The song combines synthpop with a varied instrumentation, which includes acoustic guitars, keyboards, drums and synthesizers. The original "Take on Me" was recorded in 1984, and took three releases to chart in the United Kingdom, reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart in November 1985. In the United States the song reached the top position of the Billboard Hot 100 in October 1985, due in no small part to the wide exposure of its memorable and cutting-edge music video on MTV, directed by Steve Barron. The video features the band in a pencil-sketch animation called rotoscoping combined with live-action. The video won six awards, and was nominated for two others at the 1986 MTV Video Music Awards.

A-ha - Living a Boy's Adventure Tale (video edit:electronaut)

A-ha "Living a Boy's Adventure Tale" (Waaktaar / Harket) I've fixed my dwelling for the night Lights in pairs come passing by where I hide I need some time now on my own Leave my loneliness alone To lick my wounds Night has found me just in time to help me close my eyes one more time Living a boy's adventure tale In so many ways Living a boy's adventure tale For so many days I'm living a boy's adventure tale Can't escape, if I wanted to Living a boy's adventure tale I may be dreaming but I feel awake I've been lost in so many places Seeked love in so many faces A change of weather, the rain pours down My head in hands, pressed to the ground And where am I supposed to go now Living a boy's adventure tale In so many ways Living a boy's adventure tale (aah) Living a boy's adventure tale a voice I hear Living a boy's adventure tale Singing a lullaby for me Living a boy's adventure tale Because of you Living a boy's adventure Oh you know it's true Living a boy's adventure tale In so many ways (aah) For so many days I love you. I love you So many ways
