I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. "This Is It" is the first single from Michael Jackson's first posthumous album, This Is It, which accompanies the upcoming Sony Pictures motion picture release Michael Jackson's This Is It. As of yet, it is the only new song on the album. Though the exact date of recording is unknown, some sources suggest that it was a rejected recording from Dangerous whilst some say it was from the Off the Wall sessions in 1978-79.According to a MTV news article, the song was supposedly written in 1980, making the second of the above assumptions more likely. The song was originally co-written with Paul Anka and was included as the song "I Never Heard" on the 1991 album I Wasnt Born Yesterday by Sa-Fire. This version has partially different lyrics. The song features backing vocals from Michael's brothers, The Jacksons, though it is unclear whether these vocals were recorded at the same time as the rest of the song, or if they were added after Michael's death. The song premiered worldwide on October 12, 2009, at midnight on michaeljackson.com[6], where it continues to be available for free listening. Co-producer of the album, John Mccain comments: "This song only defines, once again, what the world already knows - that Michael is one of God's greatest gifts".
