The talks come just hours after a US drone attack in Northwest Pakistan killed 10 suspected militants. Washington has been criticized for its CIA led aerial strikes with some allegedly targeting Pakistani civilians and funeral services. It is worth mentioning here that the first passing out parade was held on 25 december 1948 at the Pakistan Military Academy. It was reiewed by the then Governor General of Pakistan Khawaja Nazimuddin .He presented the Quaid-e-Azam Banner to the champion company .The Pakistan Military Academy , Kakul has the singular honour of being the only military Institution, designated as "Quaid-e-Azam's Own" by the Father of the nation himself. An impressive closing ceremony of two weeks long Pak-China Joint Military Exercise" Friendship-IV-2011 was held on Thursday. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and General Hou Shusen, Deputy Chief of General Staff of Chinese People's Liberation Army(PLA) attended the ceremony. In a press briefing on the occasion, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that Pak-China's relations were purely strategic and these were not against any other country and these relations would help ensure regional peace and stability. He said that China's security was dear to Pakistan and such joint exercise would further strengthen the relations between the two countries that were facing common threat of terrorism. He said Pakistan considered China as important in regional stability and it would continue cooperate China countering ETIM. He said Pakistan had not training programmes with China alone but it had such courses with around 50 countries, across the world. Pakistan Army: February 8, 2012: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Kurram Agency, today. On arrival, he was briefed about the progress of Operation Azmari Ghero in Kurram agency. This operation was launched under strong demand of both local population and political administration of the area. Success of the operation will not only secure Kurram but will also sever linkage of terrorist groups in North Waziristan and FATA. Due to this significant effect, the operation is characterized by tough resistance from desperate terrorists against the resolve and determination of the forces. In last two and a half months, the number of Shuhadas has reached 69 including 5 officers. Meanwhile 166 terrorists have been killed. While interacting with troops involved in the operation, COAS lauded their sacrifices and efforts in fighting the menace of terrorism. He also appreciated the Political Administration for efficiently managing around two thousand displaced families. The displaced families have already started moving back to the areas cleared during the operations. Over six hundred of these families have resettled, after payment of compensation. Media and pseudo intellectuals blame army for forming foreign policy running DHAs, Hospitals , grocery stores , schools, banks etc which is not its job. They ignore the fact that all big organizations and armies like US, UK, India run same welfare schemes for their employees and military contribute to foreign Policy They also ignore Why and How they are doing? They also do not suggest who will do it ? DHA is today seen as the most secure place to live in Pakistan. DHA stands for Defence housing authority. It was a project of Army for its people. Start of almost all DHAs was on a worthless jungle type of Land. Complete army gets the pay after deduction of taxes do others pay complete Tax? through out their service specific amount is deducted from their salary from which they get plots! its their own money! Today every Pakistani wants plot in DHA due to zero chances of fraud and corruption free developments. The cities started shifting to wards DHAs every Pakistani wants to live in cantonments instead of cities! every Pakistani wants to go to Military hospitals instead of civil hospitals. Every Pakistani wants to admit their child in Army Public schools? every Pakistani wants to give charity to Army relief camps in time of flood and earthquakes. Why!
