Contra (NES) - Part 1 of 2
A no-death run of Contra for the NES, split into 2 parts to stay under the ten minute limit. No tools or editing of any kind was incorporated, this is actual gameplay performed by myself on the VirtuaNES emulator. Edit: Since many people seem to not know the correct input for the "Contra Code" or "Konami Code" I will put it here: At the title screen, press ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A. This will allow you to start the game with Thirty lives. *Edit* - After taking a good look at this run i've come to the conclusion that I got very lucky in more than one instance, it was a solid run but luck was a factor overall. Contra Speed Run NES
Contra, easily one of the most popular NES games. I haven't played it in a long time until just a few days ago, when me and a friend started playing. I decided to do a speed run and here it is :D. Slipped a couple times in stage 3 and in stage 7 Should have skipped the B as it took too long and I really didn't need it. Oh well, enjoy.

Contra arcade speed run
Speed run of the arcade Contra. I uploaded this previously but then found the difficulty setting and bumped it up to hardest. The bosses were a bit faster and tougher to kill, how arcade should be. Still couldn't get the sound to sync which sucks, sorry about that.

Watch the fun everyone is having and learn the basic structure of contra dance and most of the moves you will need to start enjoying yourself at a dance. The music is from live bands in Michigan (and London, England on the full DVD): Tanglemere The Waltz Pistols (Chesapeake) Henry Morgenstein is the caller and narrator. Also the master storyteller and creator of the video. Jacqui Morgenstein wielded the cameras and did the fancy editing. The DVD has a scene selection menu so you can jump straight to the bit you want to watch again. Great for learning a move. Most of the DVD was done with professional cameras borrowed from TCTV2, the Public Access Cable TV station in Traverse City, MI, so the DVD is TV quality - much better than a personal camcorder.

My take on Sizzler07s review of Contra. When I mentioned that he was 12 years old, I forgot to mention the fact that he is too young to appreciate the classics.....or something like that, I forgot lol. EDIT: I should make it clear that there ARE PLENTY of young gamers out there who DO appreciate the classics, but at the same time there are young gamers who do not.
