Google I/O 2009 - How Do I Code Thee? Let Me Count the Ways Dan Morrill The primary way to develop apps for Android is using managed code that runs in the Dalvik virtual machine. Yet, Android also includes a super-modern Browser that includes Gears. It's even possible to build parts of your apps in native code (that is, C.) Choice is good, but it does mean one more decision for the developer to make -- and in this case, a big decision. Should you write your app in managed code, to integrate cleanly and seamlessly with the system? Should you write your app in the Browser as "Ajax plus", so that it can run on multiple phone platforms? Or should you go for raw speed, and write part of it in ARM-processor native code? There's no universal answer to these questions, but in this session Dan Morrill will teach you to pick the technique that works best for your app. In this session, you'll get a demonstration of each technique, and learn how to apply them to your own apps. Stone Fox Chase Area Code 615 Nashville Instrumental Harmonica 1970 From Wikipedia: Area Code 615 was the name of a Nashville country rock band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s, taking their name from the telephone area code, which at the time covered all of Central and Eastern Tennessee. The band was made up of session musicians, recording only two albums before resuming normal session work. Several of the members were backing musicians for Bob Dylan (Nashville Skyline) and Billy Swan. Moss and Buttrey went on to play with Nashville based Barefoot Jerry. Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tricks and Shortcuts Collection
This is a collection of most of the known tricks and shortcuts in SMG2. A lot of these I found on my own, but there are a good few as well that were posted on the SDA forum first. Thanks to: MAST3RLINKX (the Yoshi Infinite Flutter technique), TTom (Fluffy Bluff shortcut), Manocheese (Space Storm tower tricks, first and third tricks in Clockwork Ruins), ComboKing (for posting about the second Rightside Down trick, although it's intentional), neskamikaze (jumping on the wall in Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla), LinksDarkArrows (the second Hightail Falls jump and the first Bowser's Galaxy Generator trick), and logitechSDAZ (the Cosmic Cove trick, although he says someone else found it first). I found everything else on my own, although I was beaten to the punch on a few of them. That said - there's a large variety of tricks in here, from minor 5-second timesavers to tricks that skip more than half the level. 0:00 - Sky Station Galaxy - Route for the second planet. 0:24 - Spin-Dig Galaxy - Skip drilling. 0:30 - Spin-Dig Galaxy - Skip drilling in a different spot. 0:36 - Fluffy Bluff Galaxy - Major shortcut that skips half the level. 1:05 - Rightside Up Galaxy - Skip a gravity switch. 1:15 - Rightside Up Galaxy - Skip the ending 2D section. New for 2009, this Anime Music video features video footage from Code Geass set to the song "You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell, also recognized as the theme song from Casino Royale. This is primarily a straight cut video, punctuated with (a few) smash zooms on dramatic beats. There wasnt any heavily manipulation of the video source. This version of the song was from iTunes, there are several different versions and this is the one I prefer. The video was created using Final Cut Pro Studio on a MacBook Pro. The video has been a finalist at Anime Expo, Fanime, AnimeNext & Anime Evolution. It won "Best Action" at Otakon 2009.
