Before Night Falls
Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem ("No Country for Old Men," "The Sea Inside") stars and was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe for his performance as the Cuban poet and novelist, Reynaldo Arenas, who was singled out by his teachers and encouraged to further his skills as a writer no easy task, considering the Castro regime's censorship of any work considered to be subversive or anti-authoritarian. Still, the author manages to smuggle his work out of the country through friends, who arrange for one of his novels to be published in France. Not only persecuted for his creative beliefs, the openly gay Arenas is jailed on a bogus sex charge; he escapes internment only to be captured and persecuted later for his contraband dispatches. In 1980, Arenas is finally allowed to leave Cuba for the United States, where he achieves freedom of expression. In Memoriam - Remembering September 11, 2001 (Updated 1080p HD with New Footage)
For the ten year anniversary of 911, I have created an updated version of my earlier 9/11 memorial and timeline video. This one has some new footage (particularly of the towers falling) and is in 1080p HD. Some of the scenes are graphic and disturbing, but it ends with a sense of hope for the future. The video is set to an original score by Andrew Morgan Smith and is narrated by Mary Alice Gunther. It was produced and directed by Patrick C. Clinton and is a Roaming Armadillo Production.

After leading the league in scoring and his team to the NBA Finals which boasted the NBA's 6th man (Aaron McKie), Defensive Player of the Year (Dikembe Mutombo), and Coach of the year, (Larry Brown), Iverson was the people's champion. With a team this strong, he was going up against a dominant Lakers squad led by the legendary duo of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal; who had just reeled off 11 straight wins in the playoffs and 19 straight wins overall. The odds weren't exactly stacked against him, but the most diminutive and dominating NBA player in history went on to put on the most incredible Game 1 performance in history. A remake of a 1968 Sandy Dennis film by the same name, this contemporary version of Sweet November is less comedic and emphasizes more of its story's tearjerker qualities than the original.

Joe Dirt
As the title character of Joe Dirt, David Spade plays a "white trash" janitor at an LA radio station, whose mullet hairdo is just one of many personal oddities that make him the object of much ridicule. And the sanitation gig is just the most recent of Joe's many incarnations during a tumultuous life, which got off on the wrong foot when Joe was abandoned at the Grand Canyon by his parents as a young child. After stumbling into the on-air studio, Joe steadily recounts the sad and comical story of how he cared for himself and journeyed around the country trying to relocate his family, all while being prodded, teased, and eventually embraced by a sarcastic deejay (Dennis Miller) and a rapt listening audience. His travels involve stints selling fireworks, wrangling alligators, riding aloft in a car dealership display balloon, and being held captive by a Silence of the Lambs-style serial killer. Despite numerous setbacks and bruising physical injuries, Joe emerges from each episode with his spirit intact as he searches optimistically for his roots, and eventually for the chance to return to the one place he was accepted -- a rural farm where the girl of his dreams (Brittany Daniel) awaits. The directorial debut of Dennie Gordon, Joe Dirt was produced by Adam Sandler's production company, Happy Madison, and features musician Kid Rock, also debuting, in the supporting role of Joe's rival.

On September 11, 2001, the United States of America was deliberately attacked by a terrorist group known as Al-Qaeda. Four planes, departing from Boston, Washington DC and Newark. Two were flown into the Twin Towers in NYC, one flew into the pentagon, and another which was supposedly bound for the White House flew into the ground in Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to regain control of the aircraft. September 11, 2001 was without a doubt the worse attack ever on American soil. Over 3000 people were killed on that day in such a heinous crime, and for that, this video is dedicated to the thousands of INNOCENT victims and HEROES who were murdered on the day that changed the world forever! 9/11/01
The Tailor of Panama
Set amidst the controversy of the handover of the Panama Canal from America to Panama in late 1999, this espionage thriller follows seductive British spy Andrew Osnard (Pierce Brosnan), who has found himself recently banished to Panama. When Osnard stumbles into a tailor shop, he meets Harry Pendel (Geoffrey Rush), a garrulous sort with an unmatched penchant for "fluence" -- that is, fabricating wild tales with real-life details. Osnard threatens to expose his shady past, until Pendel agrees to provide him with information about the political situation in Panama. Pendel's wife Louisa (Jamie Lee Curtis) tries to remain unscathed by her husband's constant follies, which escalate and put him in the midst of international discord, while also threatening the shaky relationship between himself and Osnard, who cannot escape each other's grasp. Based on John le Carré's popular 1996 novel, the film also features Catherine McCormack, David Hayman, and young Daniel Radcliffe, who completed this film before his starring role in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released later in the year.
