Sleeping Giants 'Revolution (reprise)' Pittsburgh X Files 1997
This different version of the Sleeping Giants 1997 radio hit 'Revolution' was recorded for pittsburgh's alternative radio station 105.9 The X for their first ever compilation CD featuring all local original bands that were becoming very popular and successful locally, regionally, and nationally at the time. The original version of this tune was released in 1996 for the bands Knucklehead album and achieved heavy radio rotation throughout 1997 after the bands appearance on Conan OBrian Show. So for the radio stations upcoming fall release of their 97 compilation CD, the band recorded a new version with their new musician changes on bass and drums. (see 97 surge festival videos) The recording was quickly produced for the cd and essentially is a rough mix rather than a polished end product, but its sonic quality is good and its musicality really shows the bands new approach to an already established well enjoyed familiar tune. Smalls Summer Xtravaganza 08
Pittsburghs premiere action sports event of the summer Smalls Summer Xtravaganza- took place on July 24th and 25th at the newly redesigned Mr. Smalls SkatePark in Millvale, PA! Mr. Smalls and 105.9 The X heated up the competition by bringing in Pros to battle alongside amateurs for cash and prizes in the annual skateboarding, freestyle BMX and inline contests. Combined with live music and a jammin party, Smalls Summer Xtravaganza was a two-day festival unlike Pittsburgh has ever seen!

This took a couple weeks to make, but here it is. A day late and dollar short- this was intended to be a contest entry for free Slayer tickets, till they changed the contest on me LOL Anyways, 105.9 the X in Pittsburgh had asked listeners to submit videos of them doing chores to Slayer's "War Ensemble" for a chance at a meet and greet and some tickets for their July 23, 2011 concert. This was the video I pieced together for the whole song, since the entry was only limited to 3 minutes. Fire, death, destruction, beer, and filth found their way into my housework while filming this. Didn't care how much I pissed the neighbors off- my eyes were set on the prize.
