Clearing out old footage. I was going to delete this one, but thought some of you would like to see the runway, island and some planes. This was taken from one of the famous Hong Kong mini-buses. Gives you a good feel for how long a runway is too.

Training Simulator: Landing Kai Tak 13

This is a Cockpit View of landing in Kai Tak runway 13 in a flight simulator. I was at the Flight simulator in Hong Kong. Specifically this simulator is at the "Mega Box" in Kowloon Bay. The plane is 737-800 meant to be a cathay pacific aircraft. It is a lot of fun to fly in to Kai Tak especially if you haven't ever gotten the feel of Kai Tak's runway 13's approach!

I have had the chance to witness the landing from the Cockpit of a Cathay Pacific B747-400. I would like to dedicate this to Capt. Tripel and his canadian copilot and their crew. Taken from Kowloon Park under the approach into Kai Tak. He's a lot further east than anyone else. Usually most planes made a dog leg to final from the western edge of the park.
